Psah Thmey or New Market, incorrectly dubbed Central Market in English and French, will soon be newer than ever.
Renovation works have been ongoing for a few months now. Shops are moving back and forth around the place: to the temporary stands installed along the market, then back to the finalized aisles to make room for other displaced stalls... Fascinating ballet!
A first part of the market already reopened, fresh and new while the other part is still closed: it's the perfect time to get there for a stroll and witness the ephemeral beauty of this in-between moment. And to cheer the market sellers for their wonderful adaptation capacity: whatever happens, this is business as usual!
