Animé Festival @ Centre Culturel Français

218 Street 184 (map)
Thursday Mar. 18, 19:30

From the first penciled sketches of Emile Cohl, inventor of the animated film, to the elaborate and fantastic world of Enki Bilal, and including the unforgettable Paul Grimault, Animé will take us on a journey, sometimes poetic, sometimes crazy, through the marvelous world of French style animation. Feature-length films for children and adults, short films from an entire century of animation, and of course the essential and hilarious Shadoks...this week devoted to animated film will be full of surprises! This event will close with a screening of a series of short films at wat Bothum.

Two exhibitions will showcase the work of new Cambodian illustrators: the production of Studio Sonleuk Thmey and also engravings done by artists in the course of workshops directed by Séra since 2007.
