A collection of late 19th and early 20th century colonial engravings
"Indochinese Engraving" is a collection of late 19th and early 20th century engravings published in newspapers in Europe and South East Asia. Comprised of around 50 pieces, the exhibition depicts the strange and beautiful world the colonial powers witnessed on a daily basis. Wild animals, beautiful ceremonies and heroic tales are only some of the daily scenes captured by illustrators and photographers at the time.
